Gertrude Torkornoo

Educated at Wesley Girls’ High School and Achimota School, Mrs. Justice Gertrude Torkornoo qualified as a lawyer from the University Of Ghana and Ghana School of Law. Her professional career and post graduate specializations have focused on business law and construction law. After active legal practice in Fugar & Co and Sozo Law Consult which she co-founded in 1997, she was appointed to the High Court in 2004 and is now an Appeal Court Judge. She is married to Francis a pharmacist and has four lovely daughters.
Between an active family and professional life, Gertrude has kept busy in ministry – as a Bible teacher in church and executive board member of Aglow International, Sakumono. She has served on the executive council of Theovision International since it started ministry work recording Bibles in African language, and as a faculty member at the Haggai Institute of Leadership in Maui and Singapore. She is the author of Business in Ghana – a handbook on law and regulation, and legislative watch, the child and the rainbow- a poem celebrating heavens journey.
She loves to teach, travel, read and write and has travelled extensively through Africa, Europe, North America as well a few destinations in Asia.
