Dr. Kwame Addo-Kufuor was educated at Achimota School in Ghana, University of Cambridge, England and the University College Medical School in London. He has worked in many Hospitals in Britain, including the Middlesex Medical School Hospital, London and the Korle-Bu and Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospitals in Ghana. In 1978, he established the Kufuor Clinic in Kumasi, Ghana. He was for several years a lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University Medical School, Kumasi. He holds M.A., M.B., B.Chir. degrees from University of Cambridge. He is also a fellow of Royal College of Physicians (London); Royal Society of Tropical Medicine; the West African College of Physicians and the Ghana Medical Association. Dr. Addo-Kufuor is a Past President of Ghana Medical Association and a Companion of the Order of the Volta (Ghana). Dr. Addo-Kufuor was Ghana’s Minister for Defence (2001-2007) and Minister of Interior for 2 periods (2002-2003 & 2008). He was the Member for Parliament for Manhyia Constituency (Kumasi) of Ghana from 1997-2008.
